A legacy of success

The partnership began in 2013, when Marc Márquez joined the Honda MotoGP Team and delivered an extraordinary debut season by winning the World Championship in his rookie year. This historic achievement set the foundation for a series of remarkable milestones:

2014: Márquez dominated the season, securing his second consecutive MotoGP World Championship.
2015: despite a challenging season, Yuasa continued to support the team as Honda remained a key contender in MotoGP, reinforcing its reputation for innovation and resilience.
2016: Márquez reclaimed the title, marking his third premier-class championship.
2017: Márquez secured his fourth MotoGP World Championship, with Yuasa celebrating alongside the team.
2018: the Honda MotoGP Team, powered by Yuasa, reached new heights as Márquez clinched his fifth title, cementing his status as one of MotoGP's all-time greats.

2019: Márquez delivered a dominant performance, winning his sixth MotoGP World Championship and further solidifying the successful partnership between Yuasa and the Honda MotoGP Team.
2020: the season was challenging for the team, with Márquez sidelined due to injury.
2021: Márquez made a remarkable comeback, securing three Grand Prix victories, including the German GP, despite not securing the championship.
2022: Honda faced a challenging season, securing two podium finishes and no race wins. Márquez returned to competition in September at the Aragon GP, marking his comeback by finishing within the top ten.
2023: the team faced a transitional period, with Márquez departing at the end of the season. Yuasa remained committed to supporting Honda's efforts to rebuild and compete at the highest level.
2024: the partnership entered its next chapter with Joan Mir and Luca Marini joining the Honda MotoGP Team.

Maintenance and charging

Both EFB and AGM battery types are designed to be maintenance free, although, as with all batteries periodic charging may be required during times of storage or reduced usage. For AGM batteries it is crucial to use a smart charger compatible with AGM technology to prevent damage and maintain battery health. EFB types can usually be charged on a smart charger’s ‘wet’ battery setting.

Hybrid and electric vehicle battery solutions
